When I first moved in the management was fine until they were bought out by another company. They initially expected everyone to mail the rent checks to an address in Illinois. Which actually meant paying rent a week and a half early so you could make sure it would get there in time to get posted without paying a late charge. It wasn't until alot of complaints that they changed their policy and again allowed everyone to drop their rent checks at the office. They also started locking up the tennis courts. The month I was leaving they sent out notices saying you could get a key for $10 that would allow you to use the amenities. When I moved in these were part of the amenities included with your rent. The immature girls in the office were rude and acted like they could care less. When my thirteen year old daughter had lost her key they made her leave her bookbag as ransom to borrow the extra key and told her to go unlock the door and bring back the key and she could get her bookbag back. I called the office to tell them that I did not like the idea of them directing kids to leave their apartments unlocked and going back alone to an unlocked apartment. They said they would make a note of it but did the same thing again about three weeks later and this time the girl in the office harassed my daughter about losing her key. Finally, when I moved out I gave a forwarding address and phone number and told them I was expecting a package to be delivered. After a few weeks went by I called them and they said they had no package for me. I contacted the company that shipped it and they had the proof of delivery that was signed for by the current awful manager. When I called them back to question this they said "Oh yeah, we delivered that to your apartment". They had given it to the new tenant who claims he sent it back by mail saying "return to sender". The package was never found and it took quite a few phone calls to get them to acknowledge responsiblity and offer a refund. Overall the management sucks! The apartments themselves weren't too bad although the living rooms are quite small and none of the fireplaces seem to work properly without smoking up the room. (And yes the flue was open). If you're thinking of renting here, drive on.
