I moved into this complex in 2006, I found the complex online since I moved from out of town. I moved into a 1 bedroom apt. From first glance the apartment seemed OK for the price. However, BEWARE, is all I can say. I don't know what they put in the carpet when the prior tenant moved out, but I almost had to throw my vacuum into the trash because there was so much white powder whenever I would vacuum the apt. I was disgusting. I didn't even want to walk barefoot in my own home. Then I would have to keep my windows closed ALL the time because of all of the partying going on upstairs from me and downstairs from me. The office staff was very "understanding" and said they would "send a notice" but that notice either never came or told the partiers to "keep up the good work", because it NEVER stopped. The final straw came when after a melting snow I looked up into the corner of the living room by the fireplace and my walk was SOAKED as the water from the melting snow was coming through the wall. When it rained after that, it grew increasingly worse and finally just stayed brown and disgusting, I wouldn't have anyone over due to embarrassment. Michelle, the manager, stated there is nothing the current management would let her do other than to paint over it. Well if the water was coming through the wall that badly, all I could think of was what kind of mold is BEHIND the wall. She offered to move me to a "better" apt, so I moved. I have been in this current apartment for almost a year, and now the problem seems to be in this apartment as well, in the EXACT same place and now it is happening in other places. I have NEVER seen an office staff with so MANY excuses as this one. They want everyone to wait until they can get around to fixing it. But I am not playing with my health and mold. She states "it is not dangerous", but I think she should read rather than spout off about things she knows nothing about. Furthermore, they allow people to leave bags of trash in the hallway, don't clean the sidewalks properly after snow and ice storms, and the list goes on and on and on. I have one piece of advice for anyone even considering renting here, and that is --RUN AND RUN FAST AWAY FROM THIS HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD COMPLEX. If you decide to rent here due to cost issues, all I can say is Good Luck to you!!
