It is hard finding an employee at the office during listed business hours (9AM to 5PM) because of absentism. Therefore, it is more difficult to place maintenance requests and make inquiries.

Maintenance is poor at best and workmanship is mediocre. For example, behind wood trim on exterier walls there is a 1/2" crack that is open to the outside. As a result, we've had trouble with mice and high heating bills.

The sliding door between the jack and jill bathroom kept falling off its track. Instead of replacing the track and rollers, they removed the door and put in a curtain between the jack and jill bathroom. When I inquired why they did this, they said it was due to budget constraints.

Crime is a serious issue at the Landmark Apartments. The reason may be because the result of its close proximity to a busy street, or a lack of response from management. That I know of, six cars have been broken into with smashed windshields. I know of one fellow who had three bikes stolen in a period of a month. Instead of sitting back, I think it would be great if management would take the initiative and work with police and tenants to solve crimes and raise awareness.

Lastly, this apartment complex is near a busy road and many tennants are college students. Peace and quiet is at a premium here.

I've rented several apartments. Overall, this apartment gets a thumbs down.
