I have lived at Parkplace for about a year and a half and am moving out soon. I only decided to live here because it was the cheapest one bedroom in town, but you get what you pay for.

When I moved in the carpet was dirty when it had supposedly been shampooed. It had visible stains. I have had very loud and rude neighbors. There are a lot of parties that go on here. The manager of the complex is very rude. The "maintenance guys" are not really maintenance guys, they are two brothers who don't really know what they are doing. I've recently had a leaky roof where water got into the wall and turned the wall brown. They solved the problem by painting over the brown spots and not fixing the roof. The cable also went bad in my walls so they had to re-install new cable and left exposed wires in the utility closet. They also had to cut a new outlet hole in my wall and they cut it unequally so there is now a random hole in my living room wall.

My bathtub is very old. The paint is chipping off and my sink is backed up. My kitchen is so small you have to stand to the side to open the stove.

I was told by the manager that they did 6 month leases and then two days later I got a phone call saying if I did that they were going to raise my rent $20.00/month.

The parking is ok, but sometimes they do not have the walkways lite up. Laundry is alright, but there are only two facilities on the whole property.

As far as safety goes, I've never had anything happen. However, this past summer there was a shooting in the north side of the parking lot. Nobody was hurt, it was two people who had robbed the convenience store near by then came here to get a get away car.

I have never swam in the pool or used the hot tub. This is because they do not cover them in the winter time, Ive heard stories about them not being clean.

I've survived for 1 year and a half. It's not the worst, but its not the best.
