It was awful 22 years ago - can't imagine what it's like now!

My husband and I married in '87 and he rented "the cheapest apartment in Manhattan" on his E4 army income. When I moved there and saw what he'd rented, I wanted to pack up and move back to Texas. The noise and plumbing problems were really bad then - and I can't imagine what they are now! We lived in a 2BR bottom floor end apartment and anytime anyone's plumbing upstairs messed up - it all backed up into OUR toilet! It was disgusting. From reading all the new reviews here it sounds like absolutely nothing but the name and management have changed. It was Wildcat Creek Apartments back then!
