My son (a K-State baseball player) lived at University Crossing during the 08-09 school year and I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The staff was nice when we moved in, but quickly showed their character when any complaints were made. The whole complex is filthy and nothing was done to address any of our complaints. I strongly recommend that you don't take ou the electric account in your name, because we got screwed out of about $600 in electric bills. The management won't do a thing to help you recoup the electric bill money you're owed. The complex won't prorate the first month's rent. so you'll be responsible for the whole month's rent if you move in the last week of the month. We made sure to document everything wrong with the apartment at move-in, so they didn't try to take money out of the deposit, but the other roommates were charged the whole amount. The staff is rude! Did I say the apartment was nasty' Out of the $280 deposit only $100 is recoverable...the rest is taken under a fee guise. I don't recommend this place at all. The only good thing is that washers and dryers are included in the apartment. (nasty as they may be) Spend a little more money and rent your kid an apartment that is clean and isn't a rip-off. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
