Looks better than it is...

Eeewww! It seems like they pay more attention to making the outside of the buildings and ground look good to attract new people, and they never update the actual apartments. It was probably a nice place...40 years ago. When I first moved in I thought it was great, it looked clean and the carpet looked nice. But once the steam cleaned look of the carpet went away it was flat and old looking and smells like animals. We have roaches, silverfish looking this, and a variety of other wild life. Our door knob fell off, the bathroom fan doesn't work...and so on. Everything is so old, it really needs an update. They never clean the air filters so it's so dusty in here, I'm always sneezing. Other people say they feel sick here because of dust and mildew. I think I could do a better job of repairing then the maintainace people, so I usually do it myself, and I'm a girl. I also feel very unsafe. The doors into the buildings have no locks or buzzer system, and the doors to the basements can be broken into with a credit card. Any creep could come down there when I'm doing laundry or steal stuff out of our storage area. The chain lock on my door could be broken with a small kick to the door. This isn't 1950, security is important. The door is cheap and wooden so you can hear everything in the hallway and people can hear you in the hallway. I also hear they raise some peoples rent at will. They did that to a poor old woman that lives near me and she can't afford it. She can't wait to move, and neither can I. The indoor pool is freezing, not just the water but the room is too. Don't tell us we're too picky. Consider that the owners probably bring in between $500,000-$800,000 a month off of all of us, and they own dozens of other properties. You think they could put a little money into fixing the place up, or at least giving us some safety.
