Good, spacious and safe apartment complex with wonderful neighbors

Although we've had a rather unpleasant move-in experience (there was a hole in the ceiling of our master bathroom due to water damage from the apartment above), we've really enjoyed living here. The sense of community is really strong because most people have pets and like to talk about them. The adjunct dog park is a good place to let the "critters" run and to meet new people.
The apartment itself is very spacious and gives you good value for your bucks. Our apartment has been renovated thoroughly and is in good shape.
Overall it feels very very safe. There is a courtesy police officer living in one of the apartments and neighbors know each other.
The only real back draw is the proximity to Metcalf Avenue! Depending on where you live, it can get pretty noisy. However, you'll get used to that soon.
