Don't waste your time with this place...it's not worth the $$

FOXFIRE needs major work in every aspect!!After living there for 2 years, I was ready to move to a much better property. I needed to have a co-signer because I was in school full-time and wasn't making much at the time. My mom said it was such a pain with all of the s*&% she had to give them in order for me to get approved to stay there. In the beginning of my first year, I had very few problems--just some little maintenance issues--however, there was always immediate response and the problems were handled immediately. As for the apt. itself, there have been major problems with the infrastructure that I wish I would've known before deciding to live there (I'm pretty sure other residents had had similiar problems with ...there are cracks in the apt. and poor paint jobs to try to cover it up, there were 'rust' stains in the closet and the closet door was always getting off track, there were random wood siding on the walls that would crack and fall off and random holes in the coat closet, there were several tiles in the shower than had come loose and and the caulking was done horribly.... Also, there was an infestation problem in the kitchen area (ants) and it was a problem for my apt in particular because it was on the ground floor and they would come out when the weather turned warm. There was a similiar problem the last few months before I moved out in the bathroom with nasty termities!! I know yo. Sooooo nasty! As if the ants weren't enough! I don't know exactly where they were coming from (not from the shower area), but I have a feeling it was from a hole in the bathroom floor....I did my own caulking job and it got rid of the problem. Another problem was whenever it rained because in the master BR there was some water that would leak into the room! Also, whenever the A/C and heater are on, they are on full blast and it's hard to control the temp. to be at a comfortable setting. Another major deterrent for you to consider is that the management team is sooooo awful and unprofessional -- a big problem being that the turnover is high and no one knows what the heck they're doing!! I have no idea what the qualifications of these specific people are because the newbies (those who weren't there when I first moved there) are total dimwits. Case in point, I've called and have left messages on the leasing office's voicemail and have never had one call returned (minus maintenance follow-up stuff)! I even have left a message with a live person and they said they "would get back with me." yeah, right There are also the same issues that others have stated: difficulty finding parking during evenings, dimly-lighted parking lots and some questionable residents who are not considerate about picking up after their dogs. It's really not a "community" feeling type of place, but it's not a big deal you're not into that. There is no workout facility at all, which is really hideous because the rent is too high to NOT have one. Anyway, I hope I've stated my case clearly and hope that I have sufficiently scared you all away from choosing this as a place to live. This is the real deal of what to expect [if you do decide to live there]. There are other apts in the area if you want to live in Mission, so don't settle on something until you are satisfied and checked everything out. There are waaaay too many problems with this property (maybe even the whole management co., Peterson Properties) that you shouldn't have to mess with and you deserve better if you care enough to read these reviews. Good luck! :D
