It could be a lot worse...

Origionally liked this place because it the floorplans for the two bedroom had both rooms laid out equally. The apartment is fairly nice, not too much damage, but way too small! Bedrooms are barely large enough for a bed, and the layout makes it really hard to make everything fit comfortably. We've had to definitely be creative with our use of space.

If you decide to live on the first floor, you might want to invest in an additional pair of blinds because headlights will shine through your window because parking spaces are right outside. Also, don't plan on moving in too much furniture because the living room is really only big enough for a couch and a T.V.

We've had some other problems with the apartment falling apart. The first problem we had was right after we moved in. It had rained and for whatever reason the walls got really wet and started growing mold. The maintence people came out really fast and patched that up. Then my boyfriend and I went to leave one night and our door knob literally came off in his hand. Needless to say the office was closed, and we could barely even get back into our house. Foxfire doesn't allow you to install additional locks, but we didn't follow the rules and I'm glad we did because otherwise we would've spent that night without a doorknob and a door that we could'nt lock. Our air conditioning broke after that, and wouldn't turn on. Needless to say that wasn't any good because it was about 100 degress outside. But maintenence came out to fix it really fast, so it wasn't much of a problem. They also fixed out door knob the next day. On top of that, the window in our bedroom ended up being a little broken, so it would leak when it rained. Also our mailbox wouldn't open up with the key they gave us because something with the lock was wrong, so they changed the lock and gave us a new key. They were supposed to give us two new mail box keys and said they were going to get around to it when they could. Never ended up getting that other mailbox key... The light outside our apartment door burnt out a couple of times which made it really creepy when coming home. It also made it nearly impossible to get inside our apartment because you couldn't see to even fit your key in the door.

Overall the apartment is nice, just a bad use of space. If you don't have too much stuff and you don't mind having to call maintence occassionaly, then it's really not that bad. The tennis courts are nice because they are lit at night, but the pool really sucks because it is super small. If you don't have a car port, parking is normally pretty good. We've always been able to park pretty much right outside our apartment...which can't really be said for many other apartment complexes. Our neighbors have always been really quiet, and rent isn't too expensive.

Unfortunately, they did decide to raise our rent after being here for a year. It's a nice apartment complex, but we decided not to stay because it was too small and you can get an apartment that is a lot bigger for considerably less than you would pay at foxfire.

Never had any problems with theft. I wouldn't say I'm satisfied with living here, but it could be a lot worse! If you're thinking about moving to foxfire, just look through all your options. I'm sure that you could find an apartment that is bigger and nicer for less than you would pay at foxfire. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

I am a resident at Foxfire and I just moved in last month and I agree with the comments that were made. When we say the display model we fell in love with it, the maintenence on it was very good but we never saw our apartment until the day that we moved in. We live on the first floor and we had water damage and cracks that had tried to be covered with paint. The weekend that we moved in the ceiling had a leak and it started to bubble up. The place is pretty nice I just advise that you look at the place before you move in and let maintenence know everything that is wrong with it, and good luck finding parking or you will have to purchase a carport and that is an extra $25 added on to your rent.
