Nice place, just hope you don't have any problems

I lived here for 7 years and really liked my apartment. However, if you have any problems or complaints, don't ever expect it to get fixed. Most definitely, beware of the maintenance crew, especially the older guy (I think his name is ----, but can't remember for sure now). I lived on the ground floor and the apartment above me had the bathroom flood twice. The second time, I noticed water dripping from the ceiling above my shower and called maintenance about it. They supposedly came that day and fixed it but the very next morning I was woken up to the sound of water POURING out of the ceiling, both above the shower and from the fan above the toilet. I called the emergency line and said I needed someone to come over NOW because of this waterfall. This "----" person called me back 5 minutes later and said I had a bad attitude and he would get there when he got there. Needless to say I was very late to work that day. When I got home he had done a crappy patch job and there was drywall mud ALL OVER my bathroom that he didn't clean up. Also, there was one time we'd had a lot of snow and everyone was trying to get out of the parking lot to get to work and one girl got stuck. There were 4 of us trying to get her out. He was out with the snowblower and we asked him to come over and help get her out. He said he only had enough gas in the blower to do the sidewalks and wouldn't help us! I complained about him many times to management, but they never cared. They said they would take care of it, but never did. Oh, and when I moved out, I had forgotten some nice lawn chairs in the storage closet on my patio, but when I called to have someone come get them, the office people told me the maintenance guys didn't find anything. I just know their maintenance guys stole them.
My biggest complaint though, was the mice infestation I had. 4 years in a row, I either had mice in my apartment, or I could hear them in the walls. Management refused to do anything about it. The maintenance guys would come over and set a trap or two then wash their hands of the whole thing. I caught 7 mice in a 2-week period once, and that was I think the entire nest since there were 2 big ones and 5 babies. I asked repeatedly that they hire an exterminator, but they wouldn't. I finally found the hole when I moved out in the back corner of my closet and it was a big one. I also heard from other tenants that there were mice problems in the other building across from me as well.
I did live on the backside of the property and it was pretty quiet. I never really had problems with any of my neighbors (except the ones that moved in shortly before I moved out that kept throwing their cigarette butts down onto my patio). I paid the extra $25 for the carport and was so glad that I did because the only parking available was the empty carport slots on the other side of the building, but several times I had to leave notes on cars, block them in or call and have them towed. After 7 years at $25/mo, I figured I paid them over $2000 just to park. I should have owned the damn spot at that point.
All in all, I did like living here. I loved the area and still miss it, but just beware of having any problems because if they get fixed, it'll be a crappy job. If you can put up with that, then you'll enjoy living here.
