I've lived here for a year. The office staff is nice. A downside is that they won't accept packages that are delivered and need to be signed for. The maintenance staff is prompt and get the job done fast. The groundskeeping is nice. Parking is adequate. I feel safe here. The walls are a bit thin and every now and then I can hear my neighbor. My floor is thin and I can hear my neighbor's television below me. Then again, he is old and very hard of hearing. My neighbor below me also smokes and I can't open up my patio when his is open and sometimes I can smell cigarette smoke in my apartment. I am moving to another state, therefore won't be renewing my contract. If I was staying in KC, I would request another apartment away from the smoker. I think it's a good price for this apartment.

This complex is actively soliciting positive reviews - they obviously pay attention to this website because they have gone through and deleted all the management comments (there used to be one for every review). Four new reviews in one month - suspicious!! In my opinion, the apartments are somewhat overpriced - maybe being close to Plaza causes that. In my opinion, Hillsborough is a decent place to live - certainly not great. The office staff is mediocre at best and construction is only average.
