I've been a resident for over a year. I love it here. The office staff has always been very polite, but I haven't had much reason to call them. Maintenance has been very good. The grounds always look gorgeous-- my friends are always complimenting me on it. The only issue can be parking sometimes, but it's fairly reasonable.

Hillsborough isn't a bad place to live, although it certainly isn't perfect. As mentioned, parking can be an issue. Also, the office staff is hit or miss - sometimes great and sometimes snotty and rude. Most of the residents are respectful, but if you happen to get in a building where there is a noise problem (I'm talking frequent parties, loud music, shouting and dancing on the balcony at 2:00 am on week nights), don't expect the staff to help with the situation! I'll agree that maintenance is prompt, and the grounds are pretty. I however, could do without the "critters" that come with living so close to a wooded area. Overall, I think Hillsborough is overpriced for what you get, unless you just HAVE to live in that area. Overland Park has some complexes that are just as nice, newer, and less expensive.

If you work in midtown/downtown KCMO like me, but don't want to live there, Mission is pretty ideal. It's a ten-minute drive to work.
