Considering ALL of the comments are good except for those talking about the extremely rude and sarcastic office staff, who do we need to contact about this' The apt owners' If this is the only complaint (and it is a very BIG complaint) we need to let someone know.

Anonymous, the fact that you actually took the time to calculate the percentage of "disgruntled" people smells like an agenda to me. Note that some of the comments go back 5 years or more and since there aren't that many to begin with, you can make the % seem high. I could say that 69% of the comments were great. I just signed another year's lease and didn't even consider living any place else.

Considering 31% of the posts on here involve the "rude" and "sarcastic" behavior of the staff, I'd say that's more than just a couple of disgruntled people.

I'm not a renter at Hillsborough, only because of the attitude of the office staff. The girl in the office (don't know if she still works there) was so rude and dismissive of me when I had the audacity to call and request an appointment to see an apartment on a Saturday. This surprised me cause we had talked earlier in the week and I thought she was helpful and pleasant. After reading ALL of the reviews since 2008, I note that several (not all, but too many to dismiss) have comments about the staff. There are also a few other concerns (parking, mailboxes, dumpsters, outdoor wildlife, spiders, etc) but you can have that anywhere. So, gkovats, just because you like Hillsborough (and I'm glad you do) does not mean that the 31% (or whatever, I didn't do the math) who find the staff lacking have "an agenda". One wonders why YOU are so defensive about the complex, and feel the need to attack someone whose opinion is different from yours! If I hadn't found (in my opinion) a much nicer apartment in OP, you'd better believe I would have called the management company (think it was Tower Properties but I'm not sure) to complain about the office person. I hope someone did complain - she needs to either be coached in proper customer service skills or fired.

I went by to look at an apartment there recently and the woman was almost rude. She didn't seem much interested in renting out an apartment. It doesn't take much to be nice and this woman had either had a bad day or she hated her job. Either way, I was put off by the experience.
