I lived there for 1 1/2 yrs. The first year was okay. We had a few problems, but we tolerated them.

In 6-2002 we had such bad mold growth they put us in a hotel for a week while they tested it. (My son has asthma and had such severe asthma attacks we insisted they do something.) We moved back in on the agreement that they'd tear out the wall and rebuild and clean our carpet and furniture. At that time the acting manager was wonderful but they fired her since she put us in the hotel and made her reimburse the company. The incoming management (they had 5 different managers in 4 months and 7 in the last 2 yrs.) refused to cooperate. We got a lawyer and he was able to release us from the contract, but they would not reimburse us for moving expenses.
There is more to tell, but I won't for time's sake.

Also the crime is incredible. My neighbor was arrested 2x for wandering the grounds while high. They found the largest money laundering scam in the summer of 2002. They has drug dealers clearly visible wandering doing deals. A child was raped and murdered in the summer of 2001. You frequently hear a certain mother yell horrible things to her child at the top of her lungs. My friend's neighbor was beaten horribly by her boyfriend. A teen keeps harrassing us for money and a place to live because "he's kicked out of his home." There is a 2 month's free special, but they are advertising in downtown KC, KS and MO where the crime rate is high.
