but upon move out I couldn't help but feel a little taken.

1. It took me moving out for them to notify me that I had "supposedly" paid my rent late twice 4 months prior and owed them $70. If, in fact, I had done this I would gladly pay whatever fee they may have but according to my bank records my checks were taken out at the same time every month and writen out for the same day' Hell, if I had thought I was paying late I would have included the late fee in my check. I tried talking with one of the girls in the office but was not heard.

2. Their carpet is the most expensive Cheap carpet you will ever replace! Was the carpet new when I moved in, no. Did me and my daughter put some wear on it, yes. Should I have had to pay close to $1000 to get it replaced, hell no! I will agree/admit it didn't look brand new upon move-out. In fact I will agree/admit it look worse then when I moved in... but did I put it through any more wear than our last place, no, and I didn't get charged there... but then the carpet there held up better. What irritates me the most is that I had it shampooed before turning in my keys so now I'm out the cost for that and the replacement cost.

3. After 1 & 2 I found out half of my deposit was kept for "administrative fees" and not applied in any way to my charges. Maybe Im out of the loop now but though I was aware that some places keep a % of your deposit no matter what, it was my understanding that if there were charges they applied it to them first'

4. (kind of a side note really) I hate "Utility Billing Services" and will never live at a complex that uses them again! I always felt like all I was doing was getting screwed and my last bill just proved it... though my monthly was usually about $25 my final bill which was for 2 days was for $10''' and they make their bills almost impossible to pay with out surcharges! Grrrr

IDK, I hope this info is useful to some one out there... it was all def a learning experience for me.

Agreed with all comments. In the bathroom, you can hear EVERYTHING in the apartment next to you! It's crazy. And just pray you don't get a heavy hoofed person above you too.....you can follow their every step! Maintenance does show up to work on things, but I don't think they really know what they are doing. Our thermostat was screwed since day one...you'd have to turn the heat up to 90, just to get it warm, and then turn it off, because it was too hot! They said they fixed it....but they didnt! I will say, the girls in the office, are all really nice, and help you with anything you need though!

I moved out of there in May and the girls their are SO helpful. I had two incidents where I had late fees but I brought in my bank statement showing that I paid on time and they waived the fees. And, they send you a statement of your balance if you are late or overdue on your account, so I don't understand why they wouldn't send you one. It also says in the lease that they keep half the deposit in the first place, regardless of how the apartment is when you move out. It's for cleaning and painting I believe. I had a wonderful experience living there and would recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, I would agree all of the girls were very nice and in most cases tried to be as helpful as possible... but when I took my bank records in they basically told me they didn't care. Mind you this was after I told them I was moving out so had I still been living there they may have worked with me to keep my business? On the statement, they told me that they hadn't sent me one because I hadn't racked up a large enough bill to warrant them doing so? The deposit is what it is *shrugs* at this point I am just trying to get up the money to pay them so I can move on. Im just hoping it doesn't end up screwing my daughter out of her birthday.
