We moved in to Jefferson place last year, and have had not one not two, not three, but five times where we have personally seen the cops/fire dept dispatched to our apt building or the one directly next to us. At times it was due to domestic violence issues, other times it was due to them staking out an apt in order to arrest the resident for God knows what. One time it was actually for a murder, the first in Olathe in like 2 or 3 years! To my knowledge, they still have not solved this case. After the murder they sent out a memo to all residents saying that security would be beefed up and that there would be a security guard patrolling the premisis at nite. Never saw or heard of anyone that ever saw this security guard. The only thing we did notice was that the police came out more and more, but this seemed unrealted. Everytime the police were out it was due to a fight at the pool or at a residence. When my boyfriend used to work nites, i refused to stay there alone. People wander around late at nite, you hear loud noises...fireworks, hopefully, and people yelling at all hours of the nite.
The walls are so thin that we constantly could here our neighbors having sex.It was so loud it would actually wake us up out of a dead sleep. We'd move to the living room and could still hear it.
When we finally did move out, our new neighbor, who just moved in two days prior, was charging a battery outside on the joint deck, which i can only guess that was used for drug use' Why else do you need a battery in your apt...'
Anyways, i just think this apt is a mess all the way around.
