So I have been threatened by men outside the apartment. A few weeks ago I had to call the police because there was blood all over the stairs and my neighbor's door and a fight had occured the night before. Bums hang out on the sidewalks of the complex and they get cookies and drinks from the clubhouse! The also have approached me for money. This place is not in a bad part of town, but seriously, I shouldn't have to live in fear of the people that my complex allows to hang around! Also after asking a direct question to the leasing agent about the safety of living in this complex and being reassured that it was a safe place for a female to live alone, I found out that just a few months before someone was stabbed to death in the parking lot. This is unacceptable, and just trashy. I will feel so much safer after I move out when my lease is up.

Well, I havent seen as many bums over the past couple of years. Jefferson Place is pretty nice, especially for the money. There are some dark skined spainards but not as many as alot of other apartment complexes. There has been one death resulting from a fire in the last few years. The maintenace staff is pretty good considering the compex. They seem to always respond quickly and so does the office. The landscaping is nice also. I mean what do you expect ...I guess if you want to be really safe ...I guess you just need to get a decent job so you can buy a house and live in a neighborhood that is more safe. Until then you better get some brass knuckles and be prepared to defend yourself in WHATEVER apartment complex you decicde on.
