We just moved out in June. When we moved in more than a year ago the carpet was gross! We knew the prior residents and they had a pet. After it sat vacant for 4 months, they had yet cleans the apartment let alone touch the carpet. Past residents were surprised they didn't replace the carpet. We documented the stains and spots on the carpet and now they send a notice demanding $400 to replace the carpet that was ruined before we moved in! Horrible management.
