Court Yard Parking Policy

Maybe I'm selfish, but I applaud management's re-instated parking policy for Court Yard style buildings. No parking in the Court Yard was the way it was when I first moved in. I park in my garage and it's great to have all the driveway space to maneuver in. I also like backing out of the garage without having to take two cuts at the street because my neighbor's car has shortened my backing space.
Without this policy, occupants of the 3 bedroom units would set the parking pattern. If one used their garage for storage and the other had a vehicle too big for their garage, then all could park at their front door. That is until someone new moved into one of the 3 bdrms and wanted to park in their garage. Then the "agreement", if there truly was one, is over.
My guess is that by the architect's design, no front door parking was intended. Garages are designed for parking in and the driveway needs all its maneuver room to enter and exit them.
Parking in the street is less safe for your vehicle. When I don't use my garage, I park in the nearby, off street, parking spaces provided. And I don't feel walking a few more steps from there risks my personal safety. I feel the Pinecrest Community is safe. If there is a safety issue involed it would be: You need to hurry to the emergency room but you are blocked from leaving your garage.
My satisfaction with Pincrest and its management increases with this parking policy.
