The closet space is excellent. The bedroom has a walk in closet. There is several other closets including an exterior storage place that can hold bikes, etc. This was my biggest NEED when looking for an apartment.
I moved from out of state and the leasing person was very helpful with making sure the paperwork was filled out and everything was ready on my move in day.
Since I have moved in my garbage disposal stopped working. The maintenance guy took care of it as soon as I reported it.
My other big concern was safety. I contacted James at the Olathe Police Department. He is the officer that works directly with this part of Olathe. He had several good things to say. The last place I lived had crime problems so this time I wanted to get some facts first. It seems the community went through a rough period about a year ago. For some reason management evicted several apartments because the applicants falsified information on the appplication, had loud parties or didn't pay rent. I asked the management how they would prevent this from happening again. They let me know they have changed their selection process. In order to apply you need to have a valid ss card and state issued photo id present in order to even fill out the paperwork. Then the information is ran through a computer program. The computer program looks for criminal and credit history. If the person passes this check management sends landlord verifications for the last 5 years of housing history. Then there is a bunch of paperwork to verify income that gets filled out by a third party at the persons place of work.
I did lots of research before moving here. I am 58 and use to be in this business. I know there are shady places and didn't want to be taken advantage of. My advice for anyone renting is to do research BEFORE moving.
