Well, it's a roof over your head...

When I moved in, I was limited on money, so it was a good stepping stone to somewhere else. However, the a/c worked very poorly (I could see the outside through the hole in the wall where the unit was placed). Police came by all the time to handle my horrible downstairs neighbors, and I even had to be interviewed by the police when my neighbor's boyfriend tore up her place. It's definitely not a safe place for a single young woman to live on her own. My ceiling was leaking water in my closet and bedroom (after the ice storm of 2002) to the point of plaster falling off the ceiling and water litterally running down my walls. Nothing was ever done to fix it, as I was told the entire roof of the complex would have to be fixed (which never was). Upon leaving, my forwarding address to return my deposit was lost by the office. The office staff rarely returned my phone calls, even saying that they can't return all the calls they get. I was then referred to their corporate office to get my deposit back and their staff was even worse! The woman I talked to was very rude to me and my co-worker (when she finally DID call me back) and told me that she would not send me my deposit until the lost check got sent back to them and blamed me for not giving the correct address (which I did)! I finally got the check after 3 months of asking for it to be reissued. This complex should only be considered if you're down on your luck and need somewhere to live temporarily.
