My sister and i moved into a two bedroom and her boyfriend moved into a single. it is the nastiest place i have ever been in. the neighbors are weird and creepie, not to mention loud, and the girls who work in the office are so stupid. there is a big roach infestaion in both apartments. there are two roaches painted into my wall in the kitchen, and there were roach eggs on the wall and stove. our A.C has been broken since we first looked at the place, and they have tried to fix it twice. in my apartment we found 14 health code violations and in the single there are 17. good price, but it is cheap for a reason. we have lived there a week, and are moving ASAP. NASTY NASTY NASTY NASTY!!! dont do it!

If there were so many health code violations in the apartment you would think they would be in violation with the city health department. From what I understand, they are a tax credit property, which means the apartments go through regular inspections. If problems result from these inspections they have a certain amount of time to resolve them or they will be unable to be tax credit. To be honest I dont know of very many apartments in Olathe that don't have some kind of pest problem or another. I have also noticed that so many people just come on here to complain about apartments and would not take anything i read on here seriously. Honestly I find it amusing to read how many places get slammed. In my opinion people should just go see for themselves instead of reading trash usually wrote by angry people who feel they were treated unfairly.

The negative lame comments above are opinions that may be valued as much as your own. Therefore they have the right to exercise freedom of speech. They did not say all apartments in Olathe have bug problems they said "pest problems of one kind or another." I find that to be true. If its not pest problems its other kinds. For the record I have lived in one of the "nicest" apartment complexes in Olathe and it even had issues in some of the buildings. Just because I didn't have a problem in my apartment didn't mean that other buildings there didn't. You said you had all of these bug problems but did you do anything to fix it on your part? Did you clean the roach eggs off of your stove or in whatever areas they were in? I agree that you should have been upset moving into an apartment like that, but didn't you do a walk thru inspection before you moved in? If you had, that would have saved you the pain of moving everything in to just leave so quickly. They would have had the opportunity to fix it or you could have chose not to move in. Let this be a lesson to new renters. I have lived in apartments most of my life and multiple in Olathe. If I had to choose a new apartment complex in Olathe, I would prefer a tax credit property because of the regular inspections they have with the state. I have noticed that you judge people harshly. This says something about your character. "The neighbors are weird and creepy and the girls in the office are stupid." This is not how a mature adult would speak. The level of maturity speaks a great deal about how valid a persons opinion is. A great friend of mine lives at Torries Chase currently and her apartment is great she is very happy there. I will leave it off with that because I dont want to make this a big drawn out conversation as it will detract from the matter that is really at hand. The apartment complex.

yes we did do a walk threw,we didn't see the problems until later that night whe we went to cook our dinner. and of course we cleaned them off. we were clean on our end. and we did all we could do to keep them away.we went to them twice to send exterminators, and they never did. we went and bought some power that is supposed to kill them and that seemed to work because we went into the apartment and there were about 13 dead roaches on the floor counter sink and cabnits. i would say that any neighbor who keeps a machete on his wall to use when he answers the door is not only weird, but unsafe. had they shown us the apartment we woukd move into before even deciding to live ther we never would have. the bugs were not from us, they were existing. they were painted into the wall. now how was i supposed to prevent that? and you attacking my character, how does that make you any better then what you accused me of being? i have givin my experiance at this complex, which is what the site was designed to do. if your friend loves this apartment so much then i am sure they would love her positive feed back because their approval rating is only 17%. go figure.
