I have been a resident of AMLI for a year and will not be renewing my contract. The leading reason for doing so is problems with mice and pigeons in my apartment. On three separate occassions we have had mice in our living room and each time we called for assistance in ridding our apartment of them. Maintenence placed a couple of traps around the apartment which proved to be completely useless. On all three occassions the conclusion to the mouse problem was killing it by hand. The main concern I had was from a health perspective that mice carry disease. Additionally, it is disgusting to have them in the apartment and in 6 years of renting I have never come across this problem. Secondly, for the entire year we have had pigeons in the vents. Between the scraping of their feet on the vent and the noises they make, it makes for an unneccessary disturbance that the management does not see as a problem. We have called in multiple times to report, but AMLI has been 100% ineffective in addressing the issue. My experience with the office staff has been mixed. They are not unreasonable, but at the same time are not anyone's example of exemplary customer service. Maybe it's the number of residents they come in contact with, maybe it's because they'd rather be doing something else, or maybe it's that AMLI management is like many other companies in that customer service comes second to hitting other corporate goals.

There are other options within a mile or two of this location at which you will find lower rent and better quality. You'll find me there instead of AMLI.
