I've lived at Cambridge Square for several years now. I've thought about leaving because, like all apts, AMLI does increase rent when the lease is up for renewal. I've stayed for a number of reasons. First, I've looked around the area near 435 and couldn't find anywhere near as nice for the same price. And truth be told, I actually like living here which I think is pretty remarkable since it only is JUST an apartment. The landscaping here is really nice, and the complex is clean and well cared for. This property puts a lot of money into upkeep that most complexes don't, and I think it's superior even to other AMLI complexes. On the occasional times I've needed maintenance, my requests have been answered and fixed usually within 24 hours. The office staff is usually helpful and prompt in returning phone calls, and when they're not, it's a rare occasion. I also like that the management sends notices when suspicious activity happens on the property. It's not often, but if someone's car or apt is broken into (it can happen anywhere), they send a note out about it to the residents to let us know it happened. I also like that the interior of the apts are attractive with good layouts -- feels kinda like living in a newer home than an apartment. I've lived here awhile now because it offers some really nice amenities. The people who live here tend to be a more professional crowd which is also a nice thing in my opinion and noise from the surrounding highway and roads has never been an issue. I don't have pets, but I like the way the complex is also friendly to people who have good-natured larger dog breeds like labradors even though I think they don't say this in their lease.
