Went we went to look at these apartments I loved them! After moving in my husband and I are both very disapointed. The office staff could really care less about people. The two times Ive gone there they acted like I was disturbing them even though they were sitting there doing nothing!! Our actual aptartment is not as nice as the model (they would not allow us to view ours before moving in). Things look modern and nice at first view but everything is made cheaply when you really look at it, and these apts. are not cheap! Knobs fall of cabinets everyday, walls are superthin and you hear everything!, we have to dry our clothes twice at 60 minutes or there still wet. According to office staff those things don't come under Amli maintenance. We asked about theft when we moved in and were told there is barely any, not the case! In the 2.5 months we have been here 2 cars were broken into, 1 car was stolen, an apartment was broken into during the day, and rent checks were being stolen from the drop box so they had to discontinue use. That is the stuff the office has sent letters about who knows what they havent told us about. They also told us there was a car wash port, but never mentioned you have to pay for the water, and soap! We have both lived in other apartments and have never seen so many solicators one guy came to our apartment 5 different times after we told him we were not interested, and they have come as late as 9 pm. We called to complain and were told thats not there problem. Apparently that is there answer for everything!!!

Really? I have lived here almost 5 years, and have NEVER encountered any of these issues! I personally have been notified in writing on numerous occasions about incidents at this complex....I had the same issue with my dryer, and the guy who fixed it was courteous and repaired this issue on the spot. Cars do get stolen, that is just the facts, it doesnt matter if it is JoCo or wherever you are from, but do not get a false sense of security just because you live in Johnson County. I have had MANY solicitors at my door, yet, me being the responsible person that I am, I ask them to leave and not pawn it off as if it is the office's responsibility....this is a very strange review, almost childish, of sorts. I have used the car wash, and for 25 cents, im not complaining. Yeah, so I have to "soap" my own car, but, yeah, that is called "taking care of things you own", again, is it too much energy for you to "soap" your vehicle? Sounds like you have issues with the office personnel that you need to address with the property manager. I have brought 2 issues to the office staff, and they have taken care of these for me. I just think you are being WAY too unrealistic. Have you owned a home before? Im sure that if you did, you wouldnt be writing blither about stuff that is insignificant. This is a very nice place to live, easy access to the highway. I am impressed with the appearance of the property and the people who run this place. In one of my "notices" that I received on my door recently, I gather that amli is getting ready to paint the buildings? The landscape looks amazing. This is a well maintained property and I suggest that anyone interested in the joco area, who may work close by, consider this place...Just my 2 cents.

You say you haven't encountered any of the problems we have but then you go on to say you recieved notices about crime, had a problem with youe dryer, and have had many solicotors at your door. Hmm sound the same to me! My wife was not saying that she has a problem paying the .25 it was another example of how amli doesn't give you the full story. Nor did she say anything about not receiving "notices" as you call them. If you read her post she did say that we recieved notices, but the staff was not honest about the high crime rate prior to us moving in. You seem very defensive about the office staff perhaps bc you wor there! You saying that the grounds are so nice here brings to my attention that my wife did not include that the place is invested with racoons.

Interesting review, and after reading the first response, I ALSO got the impression that the person who wrote it is an AMLI employee. Only an AMLI employee would stay in the complex for 5 years, and take such offense the review. I lived there for 2 years, and had the same dryer problems, as well as solicitors coming and going, which I think AMLI personnel puts them up to it. It's one of their way of spying on you. The complex is nice, and the can also be nice, although I ALSO had my moments with them. I always figured that since the complex is so huge, they're probably bombarded with complaints about all kinds of things. The buildings could be more sound-proof, but that's not the staff's problem, and it's really the case with any apartment complex, nice or not. IT SUCKS, but what can one do. IT'S mainly the people, who don't really know how to be curteous to others, and constantly slam doors, and stomp on the stairs or floors, and leave trash outside when they shouldn't, which causes wild life to take over the complex. I would still recommend this community to anyone. It's costly, but it's nice, and the location is great. You can always avoid the staff, and submit your maintenance requests online, and even complain to them via email. I found they're a lot nicer that way. In person they're also really nice, although not so much over the phone if you're calling to complain. Again, the community itself is great -- it all boils down to the people that surround you, they're typically the ones making the complex unliveable.

I currently live in AMLI and am VERY unsatisfied. The model shown upon moving in is much nicer than the apartment that you will get. In addition to that, I too have had dryer problems for a VERY long time hence causing me to have an extremely high light bill. Knobs fall off ALL of the cabinets, the carpet and tile is soiled and needs to be replaced, they paint with the cheapest of the cheap flat paint that attracts everything possible, and management is VERY arrogant and unreasonable. They pretend that they want you to tell them about everything but when you do nothing changes. They could care less about the people that help them to keep their jobs. Did I mention that you hear EVERYTHING through the walls?? The apartment was put together with a very low quality of materials. These apartments have the potential to be nice but they need to come down by at least $300-400 to be competitive to what is out there. For the price that they charge, DO NOT rent at this property or I promise that you will regret it. As stated above, the property is infested with raccoons, college kids that party, and plenty of things as "add ons" to to the conveniece of your rent. An unattached garage that could possibly be down the parking lot from your building.... an extra $75/month, a crappy car wash, $10/month tiny storage, or soiled tile for an extra $100. It is so not worth it. Own a house for this price!
