We came from a complex in Florida that was ridden with roaches, drugs, and thieves. We moved into a loft downtown (KCMO) thinking it was heaven until we were robbed and allowed to break our lease, that's when we discovered AMLI. We knew it was right for us after everything we had been through so the living experience is really dependent on each individual. So far the biggest complaint I have are the windows. Brand new construction and the windows leaked all winter and I am fearful of what will happen with the spring and summer storms. We addressed the issue with the leasing office and were told it was an issue they were having with all the buildings and were given some basics on what to do. I believe it is something we will just have to live with, which I can do after everything else. Yes, you do pay a house payment to live here, but I don't feel unsafe at all and when there were 2 cars broken into (no windows were broken...the cars were left unlocked) the leasing office was prompt to notify all tenants of the incidents. I will admit that they should have planned a little better for parking because our building is about 50% full and already there is no parking, but I have a garage so I can't really complain. Overall, it's relatively quiet and I feel safe. I sleep well and look forward to coming home, which is a lot different than it was before we moved here. Maintenance seems to be helpful...we had 2 issues and both were address and resolved professionally and quickly. They don't allow the trash to build up around the dumpster and the management staff is very considerate of other tenants. We couldn't be happier and won't be leaving until we're ready to buy a house. I would recommend this complex to anyone.
