AMLI Clear Creek, looks like a nice luxurious place to live, the grounds are nice, the apartments are new, and the staff is friendly when you are shopping for the apartment. However after living hear for 6 months so far, I am already counting the days till my lease is up.
My #1 complaint is the noise, I am paying over 1200 a month for a 3 bedroom, you can buy a decent house for that much money. I can hear everything that happens in my own apartment and the people above me. I thought I had exceptionally loud people living above me, they moved out and the new neighbors are even worse. Its not the people, its poor construction and no soundproofing. When my roommates are watching tv at a reasonable level in the main living room I can hear it as though I am watching it with them all the way in my bedroom with closed doors. If noise is a problem for you at all, I would not live here, I would give anything to not get woken up in the middle of the night by the people above me, or simply from a roommate coming home while I am asleep.
The other problem I have is it is always wet outside, automatic sprinklers run every night but the sidewalk to my building has a dip in it which just collects the water in pools. There is no proper drainage and I have to walk through water every day to get to my apartment, unless it was warm enough to dry up the water that day. I can see this being a problem with winter coming up and having to cross Ice to get my car every day.
I will say some good things, the apartment is nice, its small but has great amenities. Polished concrete flooring, and cherry cabinets. The clubhouse, gym, and pool area are very nice. None of these things are worth the price of not having a peaceful home. I see people moving out quite often, I can only imagine the turnover here is great, I would never in my wildest dreams renew for another year.
