Too pricy for all the hidden problems

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
At first, these apartments seemed really nice. I was really happy to move into an apartment that at first appeared to be so serene.
Unless you spend an hour looking over the apartment, really well, you won't see there are tons of little things that add up real quickly.
For example: you might not notice the bathroom seals on the sinks and tubs are horrible. I have dual sinks in the bathroom. I had to shut off the water to one sink all together, because it wont stop dripping even after 3 maintenance visits. The tub itself will not seal properly when you try to take a shower. So you lose your hot water twice as fast because the shower head and shower facet run in tangent.
Another thing you might not notice at first is the poor construction, whether it be the massive amount of draft from doors and windows, the curved walls, the repainted water marks, or other bathroom issues, i.e.a I cannot use the soap tray in the bathroom because its put on crooked so the soap slides right off.
I actually got my foot cut from a rusty carpet nail sticking up in the middle of the hall the day I moved in.
In addition to the poor building, the area is not maintained. Management claims they enforce pet compliance, but this is untrue. The community area around the pool is the only place that is maintained. Any other place on the property that has grass is covered in dog droppings.
I saw one mother come out and actually get in a lady's face because she was letting her dog do it's business in the grassed area that her kids play in. I can't blame her, management doesn't enforce the rules, so the residents have to.
Management also does nothing about noise violations. I have filed 3 police reports about another resident who blasts their music incredibly loud even after 10pm on week nights. Management keeps saying they will do something about it, but this has been going on for 3 months with no resolve.
This apartment is okay if you plan to pass through after a year but I personally can't justify paying that much for all the problems I've had. These apartments were just built to sloppy to justify the cost. I would not recommend this apartment, and will be moving out once the lease is up.
