The outside of these apartments is really deceiving. The grounds are very well kept and the outside of the buildings look relatively kept. I signed a one year lease and cannot get out fast enough. The windows are not properly sealed because the buildings are so old so there are constantly bugs. They do not spray well so we go through cans of raid all the time. The electric bills are through the roof because since the windows are not properly sealed, the heat or air conditioning goes right out the windows. My first electric bill for a two bedroom apartment was over $200! This might as well be section 8 housing but you pay the price of a regular apartment complex. If you have a maintenance issue, good luck. Might as well fix it yourself because they have only 1 maintenance person on staff and it takes around 2 weeks to have something fixed. My clothes fall down in the closet all the time because the rods are old and cheap and they break off with any weight. You can't lock your bedroom door because none of the internal doors have locks on them! If we turn on too many things at the same time, the power goes out because all the outlets are outdated. Cops are here all the time because there is a lot of noise and activity around. Again, we cannot wait to leave. We found a nice place for the same price without all the headaches! Don't be sucked in by the outside appearance and by the pretty fireplaces. The place is a dump. A dump with bugs.
