Where to start' I don't even know. I have only lived there for a year and am extremely proud to say that I am moving out soon. Let's start from the beginning?

-Touring The Apartment.
My two roommates and I found this place on a whim, driving by one day looking for a place to live. We were given the tour of a "two-bedroom" model. Supposedly they did not have a "three-bedroom" to show. The model was really nice. Had great amenities. Each room had: cable outlets, ceiling fans, excellent carpet. The place looked great. Let me tell you, that's the only one in the entire complex that looked that great. The leasing agent lead us to believe (verbal and with pamphlets) that we were going to be getting an apartment just like it.

-Move in
The day we first moved in we found the carpet was trashed and stained. The porch light = broken. The dishwasher had some foul, green funk coming out of it the first time we ran it. None of the bedrooms had ceiling fans or cable outlets. The windows in each of the rooms did not seal properly (which increased our heater and air-conditioning bills). And the biggest of them all...get this! When we had our gas company turn on our gas, they "red-tagged" our furnace due to missing parts. We had to have the maintenance staff fix it before they would turn it on. This means no hot water for us!!!

-One/half Weeks Later.
Were any of these problems fixed' Nope! Remember that last problem above, well we went a week and half before they came over and fixed it. We spent 1 1/2 weeks showering with icy cold water and washing our dishes with the same. The never replaced the carpet.

-One month later
The master bedroom's bathroom had a leak from the toilet that I kept sopping up with my towels. I put in three maintenance requests to have it fixed. I figured they would never show. It took three weeks to get that fixed. We could not use our bathroom for three weeks.

-Synopses
It took a typed letter, sent certified mail, to get any action from this management. I would never ever suggest living here and I am glad it's over. I'm sure there is more that I could say but can't think of any more.

The neighborhood is unsafe, full of drugs and other stuff. I have witnessed two drug raids since I lived there. My car was keyed and ran into...with no note, to say. There are always somebody's children in the parking lot. If you plan on sleeping past 7:30am on Saturday morning...forget it. They like to cut the grass right next to your window at that time.

-Final Statement
This place is the ghetto of Overland Park and I am appalled to say I lived there. I would think that Johnson County would invest in burning it down.
