I moved here from the St. Louis area & had to find an apartment quick & I wan't familiar with the area. Moving to Autumn Park was the biggest mistake I ever made. It has been a nightmare from the get go. When I moved in they didn't clean or replace the carpet. My carpet was covered with grease spots & what I think is red dye, they didn't bother to re-paint the walls you can see the spots on the walls where they just took a paint brush & painted over any marks on the wall. There is no weather stripping on any of the doors or windows so you can feel cold/warm air just blowing in your apartment. The maintenance is terrible I have had to wait over a month for many of my requests to be fixed & then they usually break something else while they are there, my furnace has broken twice, I had a running toilet which they "fixed" but when I came home my bathroom floor was covered in water. The roof leaks, not only can you hear it dripping every time it rains & you can see the water spots on the ceiling, one day I came home and part of my ceiling was laying on my livingroom floor. The laundry room is constantly filithy & only one of the 8 dryers actually drys. After living there for a month my car window was busted out & my stereo stolen. The residents are not required to clean up after their animals, their is dog poop everywhere including the side walks. The neighbors are terrible none of them speak English, they play loud music all night, let their dogs bark uncontrollably, they are creepy & I'm not sure that most of them have jobs since they are always working on their cars in the parkinglot. Yes a very poor choice, it is true you get what you pay for, but the apt you look at before you lease isn't the shanty you end up living in so, pay an extra $100 or so & don't live in the ghetto of Overland Park. If this hasn't convinced you not to live here I don't know what will.
