Kind of sad when the only good reviews are written by the office staff. I must admit my guilt here. I told them about this website and how bad the reviews were when I moved out in January. Not surprised when suddenly 4 or 5 good reviews pop up only a week after telling them about it. Don't be fooled.
I was dumb enough to move into this dump and sign a one year lease. Maintenance is a joke. My toilet broke and they told me it might be a few days before they could get to it and suggested I use one of my neighbor's for a few days. After 2 days of no maintenece in sight I was forced to buy the part and fix it myself.
There use to be security but they got rid of that. Instead they put up neighborhood watch signs. What neighborhood watch!' There's no neighborhood watch at Cedar Crest. That's just to fool people coming to look at the place. My nextdoor neighbor at the place by the way turned out to be a registered sex offender out on parole.
There was one apartment in the building nextdoor everyone called the Party Palace. It was used by college kids as a party hang out. Not sure anyone actually lived there and I felt sorry for anyone in that building. Blasting parties weekend after weekend. After 9 months of hell school ended. Staff refused to do anything. We had to call the police one night and an officer said they get more calls to Cedar Crest than any other complex in Overland Park by far. It's a known trouble spot for them.
Trust me, these recent good reviews you see below are not from people who actually live there but staff who suddenly heard about this website and the bad reviews here.

We apologize if you feel that you had a bad experience at Cedar Crest but I do feel the need to point out to you that we have ALWAYS known about this sight. If residents notify us of excessive noise and problems with a particular unit we do have to properly handle the situations according to procedure. We truly hope you enjoy where you are currently living.
