At first I fell in love with place after seeing the model apartment. I loved the fact that there was ample amount of closet space and 2 windows in the bedroom and the price was pretty decent too (525 for a 1 bedroom). After signing the lease the girls gave me my packet along with my keys and my apt #....it would have been nice if they wrote down the right apt # bc I spent 15 mins search for the damn thing finally I went back down there and they laughed it off as usual (glad they thought it was funny). When I walked into this hellish place I noticed that I had lime green paint all over my closet doors in the bedroom, purple paint splashed on the bathroom walls and bathtub and also the bathtub was painted white because the paint kept flaking off. My towel rack fell off twice and they never did patch up the holes so it has been looking tacky every since. Also my windows in the bedroom where ruined with condensation (couldnt even see out). My dishwasher broke a couple times. They turned off the water 3 times since I have lived here and it wasn't like the pipes froze or anything. I got noise complaints for listening to my radio at 10am w/o the bass on and it wasn't even turned up, however, when the neighbors above me started hamering at 8:45am and my windows shaking (I work nights so I had been asleep only a couple of hours)I called up the office and they said that if they kept doing it to call back..ok so I did...and they said that quiet hrs were over and there was nothing they could do- EXCUSE ME'!'! And the most hellish thing about this place is that when am brushing my teeth in the morning I can hear the guy above me peeing- its sooooo gross! PLEASE take consideration before moving into here!!

These actually sound like valid complaints to me. I feel your pain. I don't think you're a spoiled brat, just a tenant who pays money each month for a nice living space. I can also hear the people above me peeing every morning, let me tell you, it's a great thing to hear first thing in the morning. I understand that there is no such thing as a perfectly quiet apartment, but that's just a bit much for me. Another thing, you'll have to invest in some good lamps because the complex doesn't offer overhead lighting in the bedrooms or the living room:)I've gone through all of these complaints on this website and I don't see any kind of exxageration whatsoever, just a few pissed off tenants who have every right to be. Tatertot is just a bit bitter because he has a master's degree and still doesn't know how to use the spellcheck option on the computer. It's ok tatertot, these things happen.

First, I have to agree with this complaint-cuz as I read it-I felt as tho someone had asked ME what I didn't like about Cedar Crest. The same thing happened when I moved in (have been here almost 2yrs now)..and I cannot wait to move. The only reason I have not moved yet is simply cuz I am stuck here-in a lease I cannot get out of, even tho I was supposed to have been gone with my Fiancee when he was restationed. The overall appearance(inside) is not too horribly bad, but I DO have to agree 120% about hearing upstairs tenants peeing whenever...it's something that should be never known..and makes me feel vulnerable as to what others can hear from me. I never feel as if I have appropriate privacy-instead I feel as though I live in my parents' basement! Either way...there are pros and cons to this complex..but the pros usually dwindle after too many cons that grow to become irritations and something you've just come to accept as part of the living experience here.

tatertot is obviously one of the people in the office...
and you are not a spoiled brat. when moving into an apartment you should have white walls. not paint everywhere. I had paint chips from my upstairs neighbors porch chiped all over my porch and my dog got sick eating it.
I walked into my apartment for the first time with it infested with fleas. they laughed at me and I had to get a new apartment. what a great way to start off with a new tenant.
this place is disgusting
