I've always been weary of large apartment complexs because their are so many people in your neighborhood that you never quite trust. This is the first time ive lived in an apartment that i have feared residents and the building itself. Some of the residents here are clearly illegal immmagrants and have somehow found a loop hole to move in. If the INS were to ever pay Ceder Crest a visit, they would have a field day. Whats funny about that is i had a friend living with me for a few months who needed some help and they told me that he would need to have his credit ran and need to pay the fee that they charged for new residents. I cant help but wonder if 8 mexi cans that live in a one bedrrom apartment had to do the same. In addition, in less than a six month period the following instances have occured. The sealant on the bathtub began to peel off. It looks as though it happened to the resident before me and they attempted to fix it with house paint. Secondly, all of my patio funiture was stolen. After telling the apartment staff abut this incident all they said do was file a police report (the attitude of the staff here is a whole other story in itself). They could have cared less that all of my stuff was stolen. Thirdly, the 200 year old fence in front of my house is so dry rotted that pieces of the fence have been falling off ever since in have moved in. It is clear to me why the aprtments behind us caught on fire so quickly (wednesday june 6th 2007).If you value you and your families life and property, please do not move in here.

Anyone that watched the news could clearly see that this fire was intentionally set. Bad things happen everywhere. As for your personal belongings, what did you expect the staff to tell you? They gave a response that any intelligent person would have given you. My grandparents live in a very nice neighborhood in Colorado and someone stole their lawnmower from the side of their house. Things of that nature can happen anywhere! I have never had a bad experience living at Cedar Crest and find the staff always willing to help when I call in a request for maintenance. I can't say that they are the highest end apartments in the area but for the price I've found that they are at least convenient to where I work and clean inside with a friendly staff. Hard to find these days. Maybe you're the problem.

Yes, I agree that the staff is friendly and do what they can to help the residents. On the other hand, they are not helping residents at all when they rent to illegal immigrants who like to trash the surroundings, hit others' cars and take off, play crappy music at high volumes all day and night, congregate in the parking lots and have fiestas, cram 8 people in one bedroom apartments, so on and so on...I used to live at Cedar Crest for a little over a year and there were numerous incidents with disrespectful tenants. This is why I'm not surprised that there was a fire. Not only did people flick cigarettes in the bushes, but they would also leave their left over dinner in there too. Definitely, if you value your safety, your belongings, your peace of mind, and your sanity, stay away from Cedar Crest!!!

It seems to me that whoever wrote the first user response is probably someone who works in the office because anyone who has lived here for more than a week knows what a dump this complex is and how unwilling to help the apartment office staff is.

I agree i think the nice things on here are the staff. EVERYONE of my neighbors and a friend of mine who i have talked to about staff has nothing but bad things to say about management and the buildings.
