I lived at Cedar Crest for 3 years. Through out the time of occupancy, there have been a few times that on site maintainence had to be called out. Within the first year, I found that I had a very bad leak in one of the front room windows, and had to call the office. The employees that were working that day, had not a clue as to what they were doing. I had to call the office later that day, because no one showed up to fix the leaking window.

The next problem was Property Management Company The Peterson's employee's that answer the phone after hours. I had come home to find my a/c unit had quit working and my apartment was 87 plus degrees inside. When I called the office, the answering service provided by The Peterson Company was VERY RUDE and HATEFULL. She rudely informed me that she had to call time and tempurature before she could send anyone out to look at and/or to fix the unit. After about 2 minutes of waiting, The Peterson Company called back and said that they couldn't call anyone. She was then informed that no matter what the tempurature was outside, they were going to have someone come out that day, and fix my a/c unit or she could come and live in my place all weekend getting no sleep and feeling very uncomfortable while I occupied her place.

The current problem is the Peterson Company Renovations. The people that are working the renovations have not ONE single clue as to what they are doing. Most of the employees don't speak at all in english, or not very well at all. They leave messes all over the units day in and day out. They do shabby work on the units that are being worked on currently. Paint chips all over the ground, nails, all different types of wires, have not replaced the down spouts on the guttering on units they have worked on.

The Cedar Crest employees leave something to desire. It seems that the only employee that is trying to get things done around here is the office manager. Who keeps getting brick walls built up to put a stop the tenante complains being turned in.

The neighbors are sometimes a big problem too. In my opinion, Cedar Crest in not bad, what is making Cedar Crest bad is the Peterson Managment Company, who also by the way, Manages the Regent Walks Apartments. You can see a difference between the way Cedar Crest is not taken care of, to Regent Walks and how perfectly well they are taken care of. The Peterson Company is turning Cedar Crest into the getto, and I personally think that they are slum lords and the owner of Cedar Crest should fire this company and take over managing the apartments themselves. With what The Peterson Company is charging for rent, versus how well they care for the units, they do not desire the rent and should be fined heavily for all the problems their tenants have to deal with.
