Quiet, spacious apartment

I lived in a two bedroom apartment here, second floor (building 8832 if you are interested). I thought this was a great apartment, I really loved living here. For the price and location, I thought it was a great value.
The good:
Size. The living room/dining room was huge. Kitchen was nice sized too. Plenty of closet space in bedrooms. Large balcony. Ceiling fans. Huge walk in closet in living room. Enormous storage space in basement.
Location. One block off of Metcalf. Easy access to I-35.
Sidewalks. If you like to walk, jog, etc., this is a great place. Sidewalks everwhere in all directions, through some great neighborhoods, lots of trees.
Windows. Two windows in each bedroom, one in bathroom, one in kitchen, one in dining room and a large patio door in living room. Great lighting and cross breezes.
Landscaping. I liked it anyhow. Lots of older, mature trees. I thought the buildings (the white with the brick face are the ones I am referring too) had a nice look. Some of the apartments near the front of the complex I didn't think looked as nice as those further in.
The bad:
These are older apartments, so there is no dishwasher. Also the kitchen cabinets are metal covered with wood colored contact paper - not so attractive, but you can manage.
Washer/dryer: There is one washer/dryer in the basement of each building only.
Management: They never seemed very friend or helpful to me. Kind of rude. Acted as though I was inconveniencing them when I reported a broken air conditioner (it was 98 degrees in July when I reported it).
Musty smell: There is a definite musty smell in the staircase of the building, didn't extend into my apartment though. After about a year, I had neighbors move in who, from the smell, appeared to be cooking cabbage 24 hours a day. Weirdest thing. Hopefully they weren't boiling severed body parts in there.
I think that covers it. Oh, except there were two front doors, each with a deadbolt and chain, to the apartment, one in the living room and one in the dining room, running along the same wall. Why the heck were there two identical doors for one apartment' It remains a mystery.
