Decent for the money

The good points - The units are affordable, staff is nice and generally helpful, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Although the buildings are not in good condition, maintainance responds quickly to patch things up as best they can. Unlike a lot of other places at this price range, the residents are not loud and obnoxious. There is a good mix of older residents and couples/families. I haven't heard a single loud party the whole time I have been here. The buildings themselves are pretty, and there are big trees all over.
The bad points - I don't think the units have had major upkeep in decades. Walls have been painted over dozens of times and the paint peels if you breathe on it because they don't prime it properly. All around our bedroom door, the paint is peeling off in big chunks and we haven't touched it aside from opening and closing the door. The windows are old and cheap, and don't stay open by themselves (we prop them up with wooden dowels). Heating and AC work well, but it all leaks out through the huge holes around the front door and through the thin, cheap windows and sliding door.
Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, safe place to live and don't mind that the buildings are pretty run-down, this is a good place for you. I am not particularly happy living here, but do not feel the management took advantage of me in any way.
