Do not rent here because the entire lower apartments have a serious black mold and toxic mold and mildew problem ! Several tenants complained about health problems, respiratory problems, and skin rashes after moving to Cherbourg apartments. The laundry room is disgusting and reeks so horribly that one can do only one thing, avoid the laundry rooms, or wear a mask. The grounds are disrespectfully unkept, instead of plating grass, they planted grass seeds and the gardens are unkept in the inside areas that are not as visible to visitors, only the tenants. They do not fix large potholes , cracked in all areas in the entire building, stairs have cracks so big that children can fall and slip on.
The management argues rather than fix maintenance problems ....they are a pain to deal with. A disgusting place for the money they want for these units, hence many of the apartments are available and often unoccupied for months. I know of several people who moved out due to the severe mold and mildew stench and many people got sick here as a result. If you want to get toxic black mold poisoning and get sick, then this is a place for you. Do yourself a favor and look for sings of molds, and check out the laundry rooms before renting. Once you see the flooded, not up to code basement ( dry walls are saturated with mold ) I guarantee you will move on and find another place. This place should be best torn down, but the layers who own this place, instead will make you sing a lease that you can not sue them for any disease, even death as a result of your tenancy over here. Several kids got sick in the same month here with skin rashes and eczema due to mold exposure, a hazard to live in ! A total health hazard, look at their laundry rooms when you have a walk thru with them before renting, do not rent, so you do not get sick like several tenants who struggle now with health problems ! The basement is flooded ion many places and covered with thick mold warped wood and contaminated air conditions and mildew stench ! They are too cheap to clean it up or to use some KILLZ, this place is terrible ! An awful place to live at ! For crying out loud they would not even put grass unto the garden but only grass seeds that do not grow , some of the garden areas are disgusting ! Parking is a mess too, they hardly have any place to park now to begin with, and they rented to so many disabled ones that do not even have a car that literally they is no parking place anymore , 20 % is assigned to disabled who do not own a car further taking away from the available spaces then they'd tow your car.
Slam lord apartments ! Reeks of mold and mildew ! Terrible, do not rent ! Not a good value, plus you will be spending trips and meds as a result of some sickness that you might get here, due to the unsanitary conditions !

I have lived at cherbourg for 3-years and seen nothing of what you talk about or accuse the management of doing. All of the residents that I see that are handicap do have a sign for them to park at. I see one resident that parks in the handicap and he doesn't have a sticker. (not there fault) If you say what is true then why have you lived there for 4-years and it still looks like you live there? Try again!!! It looks like you have nothing better to do then give a good property a bad view... This is the only apartment complex that I have lived at the maint, ground and management are very quick on the draw!! No complaints here!!

You must work for the management. Nobody likes Cherbourg Apartments not the tenants who live there: the place sucks. Plain and simple. Sucks. No parking, construction all the time, noise, roaches, mildew and mold in basement, broken down washing machines. Filthy dwelling, nails in parking lots, filthy construction workers leaving a mess. Slumlord of Overland Park, you know what SLUM LORD means ? That is who they are. Filthy Kansas dwelling full of mold and dust. I would not move back if they paid me for it. The stairs are cracked and not even up to code, they are lucky they did not get a citation from the city yet, but they just might very soon in the future as we may report it just to be nice. They are thieves, taking people's money and not providing a decent place to live. They do false advertisement saying they have parking and nice views and gardens when they do not, in reality they have none of those quality. The office is so fake, it is sickening, fake people. Just read the lease, they have one of the most paranoid landlord lease stipulations in the entire metro area, 10 pages long, they make you waive all the rights if you are a tenant. By the way we moved out last winter but we have friends there who live there still. When we go to visit we will make a video and post it with the hyperlink. Basement, mold, stairs, no voice, you judge that for yourself. You will not hear my voice on it and it will be a video about the entire property. Come and smell the mold if you'd like ! Like I said this is third world, and the video will prove it if you are so doubtful, you will not win this argument buddy. We will have proof.

For starters, no I do not work for management, nor for this apartment community. I'd state the same thing to ANYONE who feels so strongly about disliking an apartment. I'm not interested in winning an argument.. it's about people making a conscious decision to sign a lease based solely on the price of apartments and not really looking into other factors. If anyone refuses to explain or show you things at an apartment community..walk away. If you saw cracked stairs, no garden views, inadequate parking, etc etc... then why did you sign the 10 page (which is not extraordinarily long) lease that 'waives your tenant rights'???? Did you think the issues would magically disappear, or did you see inexpensive prices and just leap right on into the apartment? Your friends did the exact same thing in signing a lease.......SOMEBODY liked it well enough to fill out the application AND sign the lease. If you have that many issues, yes video and send it to whomever (since you yourself brought up the issue of video)...won't effect me, I don't have issues where I live because I pay for my luxuries. I'm well aware that people get what they pay for.
