I wrote a review a few days ago, but I had to edit mine! Some people exagerate just a bit!! I have never had a problem parking in front of my building and yes, the complex is probably full, but I feel very safe!
I work in construction and any sliding glass door, ever manufactured, will do the same as the person who wrote the comment suggested. The thing that should be pointed out is that an extra security device (the bar she mentioned) was installed and that is more than I have ever had in an apartment! And I have lived in several.
Some people are just bitter...especially if they got in trouble for paying their rent late, not following the rules of trashing their apartment.
This is an absolutely wonderful place to live- I have referred 4 of my friends who also rented apartments here. Expect to hear from them soon...

people who are bitter are probably bitter for a reason. just because they don't like things about the apartment doesn't mean that they paid their rent late or trashed the place. who wants to live in a trashed apartment? and by choice especially!? it's not necessary to say that someone is bitter just because they have a negative opinion about something. everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, and that is what this board is here for, for each person to express their thoughts on this apartment complex. i do agree with the person who wrote the previous review though regarding the parking situation here. there have been several times that i have encountered the same situation and wondered how firemen would be able to do what they need to do when there are people parked in front of hydrants and in the fire lane! it's also funny to me that the above review stated that all sliding glass doors will do that...because i now own my own house and have a sliding glass door - and guess what?! it does NOT open when you pull on it hard. hmmm.... maybe the dunes needs to get with the times and make their tenants feel safe with some doors that don't just open up when they should be locked! |

I live at the Dunes aswell. I seem to really like it... it's a nice place. Looks pretty on the inside & out. Parking is a HUGE issue. There are also a lot of nasty bugs (we live on the bottom floor), although, we haven't seen as many now that it was exterminated. The pool is small for as big of a facility as they have, but it's a nice area, and is always clean (watch out for the bullfrogs!!!). Hopefully our stay continues to be decient. In the heart of "Johnson County" whooooaaaa
