I have lived here for about a year and about 2 weeks ago, I was surprised to see a letter on my door from the manager about recent break ins in Overland Park complexes. The letter said that the maintenance department would be installing extra locking devices on all first floor apartments with sliding patio doors at no charge and other tips on preventing a break in. I had heard nothing of any breakins and thought that they were probably being a little paranoid. They came and installed the extra locks the next day and now, I have heard about these break ins on the news. I want to say THANK YOU to the management here, I was well informed even before the information was on the local news. I have always felt very safe here and treating a situation like break ins as this complex has makes me feel even safer. This is my first apartment, on my own, and it feels good to know that there are complexes out there that put their tenants safety first...before the almighty dollar.
