I have been here three years and not once have I witnessed "safety issues". I heard on the news that there were several burglaries in OP and that was a few days AFTER I receved a letter from the office about safety precautions. I don't think it's fare to blame someone for things that are impossible to control. Maybe we should get together and form some type of neighborhood awareness program.

Yes I was one that had my apartment broke into. The management mentioned installing cameras and making sure the lighting worked. They did nothing except install a striker plate on the lock but the door never shut tight which would not deter any burgler!
