My husband and I moved here in October. It seemed pretty ok at first. We had some problems when we first moved in that still haven't been fixed, but they're only cosmetic. We found out the night we moved in from another tenant that our apartment had flooded a few months before... We thought we were getting a good deal when we had all new carpet and appliances! They charged us $10 extra a month for that and come to find out it's because our apartment flooded. It still terrifies me when it rains because of that!
The parking in our building sucks. There are three buildings (one is full of 1 bedrooms, other two are 2 bedrooms) that are close to each other and use the same parking area. One of the two bedrooms only has one row of parking... It's about 8 spaces (one is handicapped). Each building has 16 apartments... Now tell me how those people have enough room for their cars if everyone is allowed to have two' They then park in front of the one bedrooms then the people that live in those have to park in front of another one, etc. The management has even acknowledged that there isn't enough parking in this area. But yet once an apartment in any of these three buildings opens up IT'S THE FIRST PLACE THEY PUT A NEW TENANT. My husband and I have walked around the complex with our dogs and all of the other buildings have plenty of parking and are virtually empty.
People with big dogs also leave big piles of poo for people to step in. It seems the people with small dogs are the only ones walking around with trash bags to clean up their dog's mess. The people with big dogs just don't give a ---- because most of the people that live here are rednecks from Missouri, Ontario ('), Arkansas, and any state you can think of! Half the people that I see parking in front of our building don't even live in Kansas or are too lazy to get their license plates changed.
All in all, it's a decent place to live. The management is caring, at least ----- is. The other ----- are worthless. It's a safe place to live, but a bit overpriced... If you don't mind drag racers on Roe in the middle of the night this place is for you! :D
