The living spaces are really nice. In fact, they are the best I have lived in.
That being said, the living spaces are the only good things about Essex Place. The management and office staff are hopeless. When you submit a request for maintanence they need to be reminded several times before they tell maintanence. Even then, the jobs done are worthless. In July we had water leek into the basement from outside...through the basement wall!

How, it leeked through what used to be a window well that was not properly filled in. I can live with accidents, and even that didn't bother me too much, until it took 3 mnonths for them to fix the leak and dry out the inside of the wall. Even then they didn;t even atampt to get rid of the mold!

When confronted about the issue, Carmen was a total #$%&@. She started losing her temper with me and treating me like it was my fault! Total lack of respect for the "customer."

things haven't gotten any better, other than the fact that nothing has gone wrong in a while. Next time something oes, it will be less of a headache to fix it myself.

Most of the other tenants are a joy. We only had as issue with one set, who constanly left cars parked outside our townhome with their steroes blasting, and the cops were called once....now they are gone and all is peaceful.

The only time a meeting between myself and the office staff goes smoothly and quickly is....when I come in to pay rent. Funny how cheery they are then!

One last thing...check the website and look at the ammenities listed. My wife and I laughed when we read that there are 3 large pools and a state of the art fitness facility. There is one large pool, a baby pool and a fitness room with a couple treadmills and 1 or 2 all purpose machines.

Maybe they count all the flooded basements as a second pool....you'd have to ask them to be sure though!
