...when we went to get some information about an apartment, the girl in the office was a total -----. She acted like my husband, two kids and I were wasting her precious time. I can't remember her name...she had that typical dyed blond bimbo look with too much makeup on and bright yellow shoes. She showed us a model apartment that smelled like it needed some air freshener - it smelled like an old, musty basement (seriously'...get some Glade plug ins!) and everything I asked her, she didn't know the answer to. I asked about laundry hookups, she replied she didn't know. I asked if each building had a laundry room and she said some do. I asked her what size, specifically, was the one we were looking at. She didn't know. I asked her how much the price would be - big surprise, she didn't know...but I guess I should have expected that since she didn't know the size. When she did show us the model apartment, she just stood there with her arms crossed with this, "Hurry up," look on her face. She didn't even say ANYTHING to us about it...everything she said was in response to a question. I can get over her not knowing much information if she doesn't have a price sheet right in front of her. But the way she acted...I couldn't believe it. If that's the way they treat people who *might* rent there, how do they treat the people that already live there once they have a lease signed and they know the tenants can't get out of it' Pathetic. So, while I can't honestly reviews some of the things since I don't live there (and never will) - like parking, noise, etc., I reviewed the staff and overall. I did like the size of the apartments and the way it has a "neighborhood" type feel. I also used to have friends who lived at this community so I was really disappointed with the greeting we received. Oh well...

Every Summer, and I mean EVERY Summer it was the same old dance with these people. AC would leak freon, maintenance would come out to "fix" it, only to have it leak out all the freon in a few days. Then we would have to wait a few days until they could come out to fill it again saying they fixed the leak, only to have it leak all the freon out a few days later. The compressor finally blew from all of the leaks, and the new unit they put in didn't last a year before it gave out because they bought the cheapest unit they could find. They would have saved money buying a quality unit and fixing the leak properly the first time instead of throwing stop leak in the line with the hopes it would seal the leak. Add to that the wonderful views of trash, bicycles, and beer cans littering the parking lots, hallways, and shrubbery left by the section 8 tenants with kids running through the hallways at 1 a.m., and you feel yourself highly motivated to save every penny you can to buy a house to get out of this amusement park of an apartment complex. Note to owners...if you can't afford to hire enough maintenance personnel or are too cheap to spend the money for proper upkeep, then do yourselves and the tenants a favor and sell the place. You must be losing well over a million dollars a year in rent from the building that was totally shut down and evacuated due to lack of proper yearly inspections and maintenance. Shouldn't that be a clue that cutting corners short term costs you more money long term? Not in your world. Live under a bridge, in a box or in your car, but whatever you do, avoid this place at all costs!!

The Property Owners really need to open their eyes and see what kind mess they have made of this community.

We looked at Essex, also. Liked what we saw, but the leasing agent all but said outright that we were wasting her time. She even gave us the names of other apartments to look at! My husband and I are both professional people, so it's not like we dragged in like some slobs looking for a place to crash.

Untill they get rid of the staff in the off ice the place is never going to make it!!!! You think the new management could figure that out but obviously they don't have a clue. When the Manager and the Assistant are both fake they lie right to your face. Some day soon they will get wants coming to them and be thrown out on the street.

When I first moved in approx. 4 years ago, the management staff was extremely helpful; since, it has made a decidedly sharp turn for the worse. Unfortunately, it seems as though any competent staff is let go, or the situation makes them leave, and we're all stuck here. I imagine that the management doesn't want any "professional" tenants as they might have the audacity to expect some professionalism and common courtesy; they prefer to house the "section 8" people as they probably won't make any trouble because they don't want to attract any INS agents who could certainly meet their annual quota in a raid. One of my neighbors who's been here many years bemoans the fact that this used to be the premier complex in the area, but oh how times have changed. They are loosing tenants right and left. You'd think they'd get a clue!

I LOVE LIVING HERE IF I HAVE A PROBLEM I LET THE STAFF KNOW AND IT ALWAYS GETS DONE! WITH ALL THE MANAGEMENT CHANGES THE STAFF HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL! ESPECALLY DUSTY AND SHAWNA!
