Okay, I can't find the list, so I am going to wing it. I don't know if I can remember it all but here goes:
When we first moved in, the shelves in the pantry were falling apart, they never fixed it.
Again, when we first moved in, the shower dripped, and the toilet ran in the bathroom that's located in our bedroom. I called them on four different occassions and it was never fixed.
about 2 years ago, our spiggots in our shower kept getting stuck. I called them to have them come fix that, along with the drip, and no-one ever came out here. Then about 2 weeks ago, I took a late night shower, and THE SHOWER WOULDN'T TURN OFF!! And it was stuck on hot, so I had to call emergency maintenence at 1am. That sucked a fat one. AND when the maintenence finally got here, HE DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH!
There is a gas leak. You can smell gas when you walk in to the apartment. I called them about that, and, get this, they tell me, "It's supposed to smell like that." Again, no-one came to check it.
When we moved in, the flooring in our MAIN bathroom was coming up. We have called them multiple times about it, and every time the maintenence DID make it out here for another reason, we asked them about it. Nothing has been done.
We are supposed to get 1 free carpet shampoo a year. I called the other day because we haven't gotten our carpet shampooed yet. We signed the lease in March of 2007, and decided we were going to save if for right before we moved out. Well, I called the office about a week ago, and she told me I couldn't get it. She says, "You can pay someone to come clean them, but you can't have our company do it for free because you are moving out." WTF is that''
We get a banging on the door at about 10pm one night, and come to find out, our bathtub (the drain) is leaking into the apartment below ours. So, we couldn't use our main bathroom for about a week. Some idiot decided to put concrete below our bathtub, and they had to use a jackhammer in the apartment below to get the concrete out of the way of the pipes. BUT, this was AFTER they cut about a 1'X1' HOLE in our bedroom wall! There were pipes and insulation hanging out of our bedroom wall for about a week. I had to call 3 times for them to get someone out here to fix it because I have a 3 year old. HELLO!!! IF SHE WOULD HAVE TRIED TO DIG IN THE WALL, SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN INSULATION!!! NOT COOL!
Our car was broken in to 4 times in a 12 month period. I notified the office so that they could send out a "safety" reminder. They didn't want to do that because it would "scare the tennents". Well, would you rather be scared or have your car broken in to''''
Recently, we had one of the maintenence guys start banging on the door at 7:30am! FOR NO REASON! I called the office to find out if they had something scheduled for that early, and she said no, they didn't have anything for our apartment. WHAT IF I HAD ANSWERED THE DOOR AND THIS MAINTENENCE GUY INTENDED TO HURT ME OR MY 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER''' I can't seem to get past that. Mainly because Mitch usually leaves at the same time, and the guy was banging about 10 minutes after he should have been gone. A little creepy to me. Especially when I found out there wasn't a problem.
We have had to have our ceiling patched at least 3 or 4 times. When I called them about the ceiling leaking, the woman at the office asked me, "Well, is this an emergency'" I told her, "Hello!!!! I have water coming out of my ceiling in 2 different spots!" I was catching the water in my pig pots, and my kid kept trying to play with them and trying to dump them out, and move them.
OH, and I was sitting here with Megan one day and I hear something at the front door. Someone was trying to turn the knob and open the door. I FREAKED out! I went to the windows and then I called the apt complex about it. I wanted to know if maintenence had something scheduled. It was the middle of the day, so I figured maybe the filters or something'' idk. but they said no, and that they would send maintenence around the building. Just a little creepy, and I am not blaming the complex for that, just the area. Totally creeped me out.
