Pathetic Manager

I have lived in the Hawthorne complex for over 2 years now and have hated my every moment. The office ladies refer to me as Sweetie which isn't too professional in my mind. The manager got CAUGHT in a lie to me and never apologized and in-turn just became a real B to work with. I have faught with them time & time again...everytime something comes up that requires work on their end. The maintenance guys are good though....AND, Spiders are an issue - I don't think they spray. And, I don't think they ever change the air filters. I haven't had any problems with noise except a neighbor's yappy dog (which the apartment complex isn't responsible for). It's definately a place to live on a budget, but know your ins & outs as the complex will try and screw you any way they can.
Oh & the layouts suck!

Ha ha - I can see how that would be misleading. I had a run in with the Management my first few months in my one bedroom lease...but after that passed, I paid on time and didn't have to deal with them. I was fairly satisfied and decided to renew my one bedroom, (signed the papers & everything) but before that lease started, I ended up finding a roommate - I figured they wouldn't charge me for breaking a lease since I was upgrading in the same complex to a 2 bedroom, but YEAH right...I paid so much extra, I should have moved then. Then we went to move in to our new place and did the walk through...there were stains all over the carpet - LIVEABLE, but, nonetheless, stains. When the apartment lady was writing the stuff down, she wrote "new" next to carpet. I wouldn't let her do that because it was OBVIOUSLY NOT new based on the condition it was in when we went to move in. I had to fight tooth & nail with them about this and threaten them with a lawyer for them to give me a photocopy of the walk-thru. So - I hope this clarifies matters. I'm in a new complex now & it's WONDERFUL. The office ladies are educated & respectful. A far cry from Hawthorne!
