When looking for an apartment in the Kansas City area, avoid this one at all costs. Not only is it not convienent to a grocery store, gas station, or pharmacy; it is poorly managed. The management has continually lost our water payments. When we moved in the unit we were moving into was falling apart(closet doors hanging off, holes in the wall, animal feces on the floor) we were moved to a new unit. The new unit had similar issues that we requested to be fixed. Maintnance never came out to repair them. Then at the end of July the unit flooded. It took maintence three and a half hours to respond, during which time the apartment was ruined. Long story short this is a company that will do everything it can to screw you out of more money, only has two maintence men (one of whom is deaf and can not be on call and the other one that lives over 45 minutes away) for a very large complex. The units are old and in disrepair. Maintence is a joke and emergency maintence is almost non existent. You can and will find nicer apartments at a much lower price. Avoid Highland Ridge at all costs.
