Near the end of my lease I optioned to go for a month to month lease because it reduced the notification to move out from 60 days to 30 and I was laid off so I needed to me mobile at a moments notice. This was at a significant cost of $100 extra per month. I went to an interview out of state and was notified that I got the job late Sunday the 1st. I immediately called Hunters pointe to give notice. In the lease it mentions that Written notice must be given by the 1st. Since I drove to the interview this was impossible at the time. I arrieved at the office on the 4th with a paper in hand with the notice on it and it was rejected. I am being held accountable for the next months rent because they didn't get my message until the next day Sept 2nd. I find this unacceptably inflexible however it is legal so I have no recourse other than to pay. If you are considering moving in here make sure you get everything in writing because if they can charge you for anything by rigidly adhering to the lease they will.
I feel I was treated like a number not a person. The quote given to me was "we can't make any exceptions for anyone."
