I was surprised with the unsatisfied comments-I have lived here for almost a year-and yes, there are SOME problems-but overall-Hunter's Pointe is GREAT! Addressing the complaints I??ve read about: Security Deposits not being returned. Me: I was given a walk through sheet to fill out-I did so to the extreme. I moved into my 1BD without seeing it & was VERY disappointed with the carpet. It was stained & old, barely reaching the wall in spots, frayed-just BAD. The apt. was also dirty; kitchen appliances filthy, dishes in dishwasher, lipstick in bathroom, both floors in kitchen & bathroom had massive yellow stains (still haven??t figured out what they were from), BUT-I notified management, and filled out the form (I kept a copy) stating that I will NOT be held responsible for not only all the above, but for the carpet period-it should have been replaced before I moved in-management signed the paper & agreed & APOLOGIZED.
I ended up laying down carpets in the kitchen/bathroom to cover those stains & throw rugs to cover the rest of the carpet-yes, small inconvenience-BUT I am not responsible for it when I move. So don??t damage something & you will get your deposit back.

Every maintenance request I have made was dealt with in two days or less. When my hot water wouldn??t work-they sent someone-he spoke hardly ANY English & told me he fixed the problem. He didn??t. I then called back upset & the head maintenance came out & stayed till they fixed it (my water heater had to be completely replaced & faucets b/c of some type of buildup) and even took out my trash for me!
I had a water leak from the upstairs neighbor??s dishwasher-maintenance was there in five minutes-& although they didn??t patch the ceiling (to this day)-they fixed the leak & who cares about the rip up on the ceiling' I??m not staying here forever-so let the little things go. Anyhow-DO your walk through-make PRECISE notes on your form (it IS legally binding) & do a Walk through EXIT with your agent to make sure there isn??t anything they can helpfully point out that you should fix before leaving-then you don??t get charged.

Security-EXCELLENT@! A COP lives on site-O.P. Police reports ANYTHING to the office-I was assaulted while living here & the manager called me the next morning to see if I needed anything. (I was assaulted IN my home by an acquaintance) but the bldgs, parking lot, etc are SAFE. I am a single female & no problem walking to my carport (across the lot).

Parking is sparse for certain Bldgs (mine) BUT I needed a carport & management reduced it 50% because I would have to walk a ways to it & could not see it from my apt.
No bug problems at all. Spiders, yes, there are some big hairy gross ones on the porch-but there are trees around & your outside-of COURSE there will be spiders-they DO live outside. If you have an actual problem-maintenance WILL get it resolved. I have NEVER found one that got inside.

The apts DO need a little upgrading-my dishwasher was old-but with a few maintenance calls-worked great, great porch just NOT the one with my floor plan-(make SURE to get a covered balcony/porch), or food & trash & rain will leak down if your on the bottom (my fault that I didn??t notice that particular floor plan set-up). Maintenance has NEVER walked in on me-in fact, they notify you at LEAST a week in advance for upkeep, & when I call for anything-they knock for awhile.

Overall-the staff/management are EXCELLENT-they DO go OUT OF THEIR WAY to help you (especially Catie!), maintenance is FAST & NOT perverts, Bldgs & parking lot SAFE, Neighbors-NICE, location-Perfect. I would stay myself-but I need MUCH larger closets, more windows/light, a covered porch/balcony & clean, new carpet. Otherwise-I would stay for the next couple years.
